KARACHI: Half-a-dozen acceptors will battle it out for honours in the Dream Run Cup which figures prominently in a four-race card of the Gymkhana race meeting slated to take place at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

The cup race which is third in days racing order is also the feature event to be run over four-and-a-half furlongs.

Altogether, 24 horses, six in each race, have entered the fray and will vie for honours barring last-minute withdrawal. The first two races will be contested over four furlongs while the following two will be run over four-and-a-half furlongs. Three horses — dark bay horse Parachuter, dark bay horse Believe Me and chestnut filly I Gold — look set to make their debut on Saturday.

According to schedule, the first race starts at 3.30pm.
