PML-N makes its anti-rigging system functional

LAHORE: The PML-N on Thursday made its anti-rigging system (ARS) functional and tasked its election agents and social media activists with resisting and exposing rigging in July 25 polls.

In a conference at the party’s Model Town headquarters, the party’s election agents, social media activists and civil society organisations representatives were briefed on how to prevent rigging.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N central media committee chairman Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed said the ARS would coordinate among the PML-N candidates, their constituencies, with legal aid teams from the party lawyers forum, social media teams to resist and report rigging attempts to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), election observers and media immediately.

“The election will decide the direction of Pakistan whether the sanctity of the ballet and supremacy of the parliament prevails or Pakistan continues to cling to a status quo that is no longer tenable,” he said and added the masses had already made their choice clear in the massive turnout on July 13 in Lahore and huge rallies being addressed by PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif.

Senator Mushahid said Imran Khan’s rallies were witnessing empty chairs which would also result in empty ballot boxes on the polling day.

JOINS: During the conference, former MQM senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi announced joining the PML-N.
