Two ‘terrorists’ held

ABBOTTABAD: The Counter-Terrorism Department of Hazara range on Monday arrested two alleged terrorists wanted to police in the famous KKH attack.

The incident occurred in 2012 where 10 to 12 terrorists camouflaged in army commandos’ uniform blocked road and disembarked passengers from vehicles and gunned down 16 of them. Most of the deceased belonged to Shia community.

According to a statement of CTD, the two arrested men were identified as Mohammad Tariq and Ghulam Dastagir of Gilgit, who were held from Kohistan district.

The two were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

Reports said during the initial probe they admitted to carrying out some more terrorist attacks, while police are trying to arrest other members of the gang.
