Replacement of IO irks SHC

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Wednesday expressed displeasure over replacement of investigating officers in the cases of missing persons.

When dozens of missing persons’ petitions came up for hearing before the two-judge bench of the SHC, headed by Justice Khadim Hussain M. Shaikh, the bench was informed that the most of the IOs investigating the cases of missing persons had been replaced.

The bench deplored that the police officers were submitting reports in the court, but they were unaware about the contents of the reports and asked them that who was drafting these reports.
