Printing of 'most expensive ballot papers' starts under army supervision

The printing of ballot papers has started as per the schedule announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The army has already been deployed at printing facilities in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. More than 210 million ballot papers will be printed for the upcoming elections.

These are said to be — according to sources — the most expensive ballot papers in the country's history as each of the paper will cost Rs10 to the national exchequer.
