QUETTA: The provincial president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and candidate for the NA-268 seat, Abdul Qadir Baloch, has urged people — especially the youngsters — to say no to drugs as the menace was spreading in the society rapidly.

He was speaking at a seminar organised by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in Chagai district to mark the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Tuesday.

“Drug addiction has been paralysing our youth mentally and physically. We should encourage youngsters to take up sports and healthy activities so that they can save themselves from the scourge,” said Mr Baloch.

ANF assistant director Muqeem Baloch, PML-N district president Captain Kareem, tribal leader Haji Akbar Masazai and others participated in the seminar.

“The menace of drugs can’t be purged from our society unless we provide jobs, education and healthy avenues to our youngsters,” added Mr Baloch.
