Motorcyclist injured after foreign embassy car hits him

LAHORE: A motorcyclist suffered multiple injuries when the vehicle of a foreign embassy ran him over in Mozang here on Saturday.

Identified as Mohammad Nauman, the citizen was going to meet his relatives near Ichhra by his motorbike. Near Jain Mandir, the vehicle of an embassy hit him, leaving him injured on the road.

A police official said Nauman had a fractured leg and was taken to a local hospital by the Rescue 1122 ambulance.

Police arrested the driver and seized the vehicle for further legal action.

The officials of the Japan Embassy reached their destination by arranging for another vehicle. Police said a case would be registered after receiving an application.

MURDERED: A teenager was found murdered at his home in Baghbanpura here on Saturday.

His body was found in a trunk which was stored in upper portion of the house, a police official said, adding the boy was identified as Arsalan Ahmad, 15.

Quoting Arsalan’s father Mohammad Nasir, police said as usual he left his home along with two other sons for work leaving Arsalan alone. When he didn’t find any response on return, he scaled the walls to enter the house and found his son dumped in trunk after murder.

Police registered a case.
