Six-hour power outages announced

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced six hours power suspension on June 25 and 26 from 7am to 1pm in Peshawar due to maintenance work on its transmission lines.

According to a statement issued here on Friday, the areas to be affected include Sarbulandpura, Latifabad, Charsadda Road, Nishat, Dalazak, Faqirabad, Eidgah, Industrial, Express 1, 2, 3 and 4, Olympia, Omroc, Al-Hafiz, Hayatabad1 and 6, Kidney Centre, PPI 1 and 2, PCB, Frontier Tech Wood, Soor Qamar 1, 2 and 3, Old and New Jamrud, Malagori, Gudar, Kacha Ghari, Karkhano, FF Steel, Malik Steel, Express-4, Surgical, Pump House, Fata Industrial, Myca Steel, Cell Wood, Frontier Ceramics, Frontier Green Wood.

The power supply will remain suspended from 132KV Peshawar City Grid Station on June 23 (today), 24 and 26 from 7am to 1pm, resultantly the consumers of 11KV Islamabad, Nishtarabad, MolveJee and Sikandarpura feeders will face inconvenience.

The consumers of Kareempura, Chowk Yadgar, Deans, MES 1, Kohati Gate, Qissa Khwani, Dabgari, Shoba, Kakshal and LRH feeders will also suffer because of power suspension besides those of CAA, PAF Base, MES 2, Old MES, Mall Road, Saddar Road, KTH and University Town.

It was stated that the consumers of Sonehri Masjid, Deh Bahadar, Kohat Road, Landi Arbab, Nodeh Payan, Peshtakhara, Sheikh Mohammadi, Bara and Dora Road would also be affected.

Other areas to be hit by power suspension include Rasheed Garhi, Bari Bagh, Akhunabad, Surizai Bala, Yakatoot, Ring Road, University Campus, Regi, Circular Road, Acadmy Town, Achini 1 and 2, Jamaluddin Afghani Road and KTH.

The power suspension will also affect some areas of Mardan, Haripur and Swat.
