KARACHI: The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) on Wednesday decided to hand over all grounds which had been vacated after removing encroachments to its sports department to restore them for sports activities.

This was decided in an urgent meeting chaired by KDA Directed General Samiuddin Siddiqi, said a statement. He also said that the use of amenity plots for commercial purposes will not be tolerated.

The executive engineers were directed to point out all the commercial plots in the residential schemes.

The meeting also decided to expedite the operation against encroachments in all areas without any discrimination.
