Election banners

THE people’s immediate attention is now on the general election on July 25.

Political parties are already busy in printing posters and banners, and these have already started to appear in many areas.

However, party supporters should refrain from putting them up at public places such as hospitals, educational institutions, parks and places of worship. Furthermore, private property should also be respected, and should not be used to hoist banners without permission from owners.

All political parties should agree on a code of conduct in this respect.
