'Who's afraid of Pervez Musharraf?'

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has responded to a growing controversy over his 'conditional invitation' to former military dictator 'Syed' Pervez Musharraf to come to the Supreme Court's Lahore registry by June 13 and file his nomination papers in person.

"We asked Pervez Musharraf to come [back to Pakistan] [day before] yesterday and it seems everybody has a problem with that," he remarked while hearing a case on water shortages in what seemed to be an aside to political parties.

"Who's afraid of Pervez Musharraf? He should come [back to Pakistan] and face the law. This shouldn't be a cause for consternation for anyone," the chief justice remarked.
