WHEN elections are at hand, our elected political members become very active and serious about their work for a short period of time. Except for the election year, we never see any politicians in Sindh’s cities, to say nothing of the rural areas.

The pirs and waderas harass people to get votes, while people believe that there is no value to their vote given that the only change will be someone new running the country or the province.

Elections are again at hand and there is need to be very careful to vote for a better person for the next five years. It is not a matter of electing a person to the assembly, it is a serious matter about electing a person who can change the situation in the country.
