Honda Atlas profit rises

KARACHI: Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Ltd (HCAR) on Tuesday announced financial results for the year ended March 31, 2018 wherein the automobile assembler posted a profit after tax of Rs6.5 billion translating into earning per share at Rs45.48, up 6pc over the PAT at Rs6.13bn and eps at Rs42.96 the previous year.

Alongside, the board announced final cash dividend at Rs22.75 per share (227.5pc). Sales grew 45.7pc to Rs91.5bn from Rs62.8bn.--Equities Correspondent


Air Sial to launch this year

SIALKOT: Fazal Jillani, chairman Air Sial, Sialkot exporters’ private airline, said that all the operational arrangements have been completed to ensure the early start of the airline before the end of this year.

Talking to the newsmen on Tuesday, Jillani disclosed that some international companies will soon provide three Airbus fleet to enable Air Sial to start its domestic flight operations from Karachi to Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Peshawar and Multan.—Our Correspondent


MAP elects office-bearers

KARACHI: The Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) has elected Asif Ikram and Amir Jamil Abbasi as president and vice-president, respectively.

Other office-bearers include Talib S. Karim honorary secretary and Riyaz T. Chinoy honorary treasurer. Salah Uddin will continue to serve as the executive director.
