Sepaktakraw coaching course

KARACHI: More than eighty participants were imparted rules and techniques in a high profile National Sepaktakraw Refereeing and Coaching Course that concluded here on Monday. Dato Abdul Alim Bin Abdul Kader, Secretary General of International Sepaktakraw Federation, who is visiting Pakistan these days was the chief guest on the occasion.

A number of referees, coaches and players participated in the course which was organised by Pakistan Sepaktakraw Federation. Later, Chairman and Course Director Dr. M. Arif Hafeez thanked the participants and guests for making it a success. Later, Dato Abdul Alim Bin Abdul Kader and Dr. Farhan Essa distributed the shields, prizes and certificates among the the participants.

In his speech at the closing ceremony, Dato Abdul Halim thanked the organisers of the course for inviting him to Pakistan and for providing excellent facilities during his stay. “I was advised by my friends not to go to Pakistan, but having seen the hospitality and the friendship, I am too pleased and can recommend any sport person to visit Pakistan without any hesitation,” he said.

Also present on the occasion were PSF Secretary General Naushad Ahmed Khan, media coordinator POA Asif Azeem, Vice President of Sindh Olympic Association Syed Mahfoozul Haque and others.
