Two shot dead for honour in Swat

MINGORA: A man killed his wife and a neighbour for alleged illicit affair in Kalam tehsil here on Sunday morning.

According to Kalam police, the accused axed his wife and a young man to death for alleged illicit relation early on Sunday. The man after committing the double murder fled the scene, Hassan Zeb, SHO Kalam police station, said, adding the police were trying to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, two young brothers suffered bullet injuries when a loaded Kalashnikov of their elder brother allegedly went off accidentally in Naranj Pora village of Kabal tehsil.

According to Kanju police, a man identified as Fazal Zada, who had a clash with his neighbours over some domestic issues, had loaded his AK-47 gun, which went off accidentally, leaving his two younger brothers injured. They were identified as 12-year-old Rashid and nine-year-old Fazal Mabood.

“After the incident the man escaped the area. We have seized the gun and started search to arrest the accused after filing a case against him,” Yar Mohammad, SHO Kanju police, said.
