APROPOS the articles ‘Coercing the media’ (April 18). The writer seems to believe: “There is little probability that the democratic process will be completely derailed.” However he then — in the same paragraph — goes on to conclude: “we may be heading towards a ‘managed’ or ‘guided’ political dispensation.”

This sounds quite derailed enough to me, the writer’s curious use of the qualifier ‘completely’ notwithstanding.
