NAB’s prosecutor general to get Rs1.5m pay, facilities

ISLAMABAD: The Mini­stry of Law and Justice on Monday notified the salary package for the prosecutor general of National Accoun­tability Bureau, retired Justice Asghar Haider.

The package is around Rs1.5 million per month, including Rs1.3m cash.

As per the notification, the pay is Rs0.79m, superior judiciary allowance Rs370,597, medical allowance Rs69,000 and house rent is Rs68,000.

The prosecutor general is also entitled for a government residence in lieu of house rent. Besides, he is allowed one chauffer-driven 1800cc vehicle with 600 litre petrol per month with an offer to purchase the official vehicle on depreciated value, air travel in business class (both for domestic and overseas visits), utility bills, bonus as well as mobile allowance. He is also allowed to hire services of a peon, gardener and sanitary worker.

The notification is effective from Jan 29, 2018.
