World Book Day observed

RAWALPINDI: World Book and Copyright Day 2018 was observed at the e-Library in Nawaz Sharif Park on Monday in collaboration with the Sports Department and Punjab Information Technology Board.

Dr Mirza said humans have been associated with education since the beginning and that education has led various rules take control over foreign lands.

“We should make the habit of reading everyday and also encourage others to do so,” he said.

Speakers at the event said books are not only a source of information but also provide an inalienable sense of joy and companionship.

They said the government should control book prices so they are more affordable for people.

PITB Lahore Programme Manager Aqsa Ghazi said 20 e-libraries have been established in the province so far.
