Poorly managed Pakistan

HARDLY anyone would deny my contention that Pakistan is not a poor country, but a poorly managed country. We have everything that is primarily required for the development of a country. We have the world’s sixth largest human resource pool, the Arabian Sea, a flourishing agriculture sector, and natural resources, etc.

But, we have not been able to use all these resources effectively. Issues such as corruption, illiteracy, unemployment, favouritism, hunger, suicide bombings and lawlessness have weakened the foundations of this country.

Many countries have fewer resources than us but have achieved great development. The examples of Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand, etc., can safely be cited in this regard. This clearly proves that countries with fewer resources can excel provided their rulers and citizens remain sincere.
