Pakpattan PTI gets new head
SAHIWAL: Rao Naseem Hashim, ex-Pakpattan district nazim, has been nominated as new district head of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf by the party’s chairman Imran Khan within 24 hours of Ahmed Raza Manika’s quitting of the office.
Mr Manika had announced parting of ways with the PTI on Saturday, complaining about lack of recognition of his “hard work” and “commitment” by the chairman and other leaders.
Mr Hashim had won district nazim slot during Gen Musharraf era on the ticket of Pakistan People’s Party to which he and his family had a long association.
However, he joined the PTI in 2013. His brother Rao Jameel Hashim is still in the PPP.
