PSL & wedding events
IT is nice to see that a gentleman’s game — cricket — has returned to Pakistan and international players are now feeling safe in playing in Pakistan. But, unfortunately, the entire PLS-3 tournament was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) instead of Pakistan cities and we witnessed 80pc to 90pc of empty seats at the UAE stadiums.
If these matches were held in Pakistan, our different stadiums would have been full to the brim.
If media reports are to be believed, hotels, shops and marriage halls on Sharae Faisal will remain closed for the public on March 25 because of the PSL final match at the National Stadium.
Organisers of PSL3 did not bother to think even for once about the people who had booked wedding halls on Sharae Faisal eight to 10 months ago for their children. Where will they go now and how are they going to manage their event at such a short notice?
