RECENTLY there was a news report saying the government had banned the sale of loose cigarettes. This is not going to curb the menace of smoking. Those who used to smoke two to three cigarettes a day will now buy a pocket, and then the quotaof smoking will jump to the peril of the smoker.

It is time the government took this issue seriously and immediately banned cigarettes.
