Public execution

I WAS happy to see the gold jewellry shops open without the owner or staff in shops during prayer timings in Saudi Arabia. The only reason for this is the rule of law.

Public punishment in Saudi Arabia is the main cause of lowest crime rate.

The crime rate in Pakistan is rising at an alarming level. To lower it we need the implementation of Sharia laws.

I suggest to the government to start with the execution of murderers in public if the blood money option is not availed.

For the knowledge of readers at large, there are two important articles rightly covered in the constitution as far as the Sharia-based laws and more specifically Hudood laws are concerned.

Article 2 of the Constitution states: “Islam shall be the state religion of Pakistan” and to make it more meaningful for the purpose of practical approach, there is Article 227.

This article states: “All existing laws shall be brought in conformity with the injunctions of Islam as laid down in the Holy Quran and Sunnah, in this Part referred to as the Injunctions of Islam, and no law shall be enacted which is repugnant to such injunctions”.

The countries that have abolished the death penalty are facing a higher crime rate.
