LAHORE: Pakistan’s weightlifting squad has been announced for the Commonwealth Games being held in Gold Coast, Australia from April 4.

The squad was selected after the trials held in Islamabad.

The weightlifters named for the event include Mohammad Nooh Dastgir Butt (+105kg), Talha Talib (62kg), Abu Sufyan (69kg), Usman Amjad Rathore (94kg) and Abdullah Ghafoor (56kg). Jameel Akhtar and Hyder Ali have been kept as reserves.

Ali Aslam and Mohammad Ilyas Butt have been appointed coaches.
