Samples taken after exhumation of maid’s body

ABBOTTABAD: A team of doctors, including a forensic expert, took samples from the body of deceased Misbah, which was exhumed in Nagakkai village graveyard in the presence of a judicial magistrate here on Thursday.

Misbah, 11, was working as maid at the house of Shoaib Ghani, brother of provincial minister Mushtaq Ghani, in Abbottabad and died mysteriously at the district headquarters hospital on Jan 25.

From the day one when the ill-fated maid died her father, Kamran, had not accused anyone and had stated that his daughter died of asthma, which was also prevalent in the family. He had also said that his four-year-old son had also died of asthma.

During the post-mortem of his daughter, Kamran told mediapersons that exhuming body of his daughter was a disgraceful act.

He said that he had not made any claim about cause of death of her daughter.

One of his relatives also said that this was now just made a political issue. He said that they had nothing to do with the family where she had worked for couple of years with her other sister.

He said that his two daughters were working in the house of Shoaib Ghani, younger brother of provincial minister Mushtaq Ghani.

SHO Cantt Abdul Hafeez told mediapersons said that during the autopsy all the relevant materials were collected by three doctors, including Dr Irshad, Dr Nusrat Ara and Dr Waqar Iqbal, which would be sent to the laboratory under strict security. He said that the medical report was expected in next seven days.
