GUJRANWALA: A couple and their two daughters were killed in a road accident on Tuesday near Wazirabad.

Muhammad Akram, 50, a resident of Railway Road, Gujrat, along with his family was on way to his hometown from Gujranwala by a car. Near Dhonkal, a vehicle of a security agency coming from the opposite side hit them when its tyre suddenly burst.

Akram, his wife Tabassum and daughters Aleezay and Ibadat were injured seriously. They were shifted to Wazirabad THQ Hospital where they died.

The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene. Police launched an investigation.
