Policemen seek reinstatement

PESHAWAR: The sacked personnel of special police force in Bannu district have expressed grave concern over the delay in their reinstatement and demanded of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to take notice of the injustice with them.

The sacked employees warned that if the provincial government did not reinstate them soon they would start observing hunger strike outside the provincial assembly building.

Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, a group of the sacked policemen led by Asmatullah and Falak Niaz said that some 600 personnel had been recruited in 2014 in the Bannu district but they were terminated in 2017 without any reason.

They said that the special police force had been set up in different districts of the province to help the regular police, especially in emergency situations.
