RAWALPINDI: PML-N workers on Sunday staged demonstrations in different parts of the city against former information minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid for his recent statements against Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

Three demonstrations were separately held at Morgah, Dhama Syedan and Girja led by Malik Liaquat, Dost Mohammad Khan and Sagheer Alam, respectively. More than 100 people attended each of the protests and were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against Mr Rashid and in favour of Chaudhry Nisar. They demanded the party leadership take action against Mr Rashid.

Dhoke Munshi Union Council Chairman Dost Mohammad said the PML-N leadership should take notice of the statements of Senator Rashid as all the workers and leaders were united under the leadership of Chaudhry Nisar. He said Mr Rashid was making baseless allegations against Chaudhry Nisar.

Malik Liaquat from Chakra also denounced the statements of Mr Rashid and asked the party leadership toinitiate a disciplinary action against him.
