Meeting reviews ATCs’ work

LAHORE: A meeting to review the performance of anti-terrorism courts (ATCs) in Punjab was held at Lahore High Court on Saturday.

The meeting was chaired by ATCs administrative judge Justice Abdul Sami Khan. All ATC judges, regional police officers of all divisions, additional secretaries of finance and home, DIGs of prison, CTD, security, Punjab prosecutor general, additional registrars of monitoring and performance evaluation were in attendance.

Justice Abdul Sami Khan said he would personally visit and inspect the security of the court premises.

The meeting also reviewed the performance of Counter Terrorism Department, Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA), prison, home, police and prosecution departments.

The additional secretary (home) assured proper provision of security and infrastructure and allied staff to courts.

The Gujrat ATC-lll judge briefed the home secretary, DPO and representative of the bar and raised security issues.
