Six Jordanians kidnapped in Iraq

DUBAI, May 6: An armed group has kidnapped six Jordanian contractors for the US military in Iraq, the Al Jazeera said on Friday. The six men each held up their passport to the camera as they were paraded seated before a large black banner bearing the group’s name. One of the six, who worked for Jordanian firm Abu Jaafar al Mansur, read out a statement warning the kingdom’s companies to end their operations in Iraq. —AFP
