Rangers seize arms ‘linked with MQM-L’
KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on Sunday seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition in Moosa Colony claimed to have linked with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London, a spokesperson for the paramilitary force said.
Acting on ‘credible information’, the Rangers conducted an action and seized arms and ammunition hidden underground adjacent to an MQM-L sector office in Moosa Colony near Railway Line.
The seized weapons included two submachine guns, three repeater rifles, one 8mm rifle, one .22 rifle, one 30-bore machine gun, one 9mm pistol, one 30-bore pistol, one ‘pen pistol’, and a large quantity of ammunition.
The Rangers spokesperson claimed that these arms and ammunition belonged to “miscreants affiliated with the MQM-London, which were supposed to be used to carry out targeted killings and spread terror in the city of Karachi”.
