Zardari urges Murad to complete Sindh development schemes on time

PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Monday discussed various development schemes underway in Sindh with Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, urging the latter to ensure the completion of ongoing projects on time.

During their meeting at the Chief Minister House in Karachi, Zardari asked Shah to ensure that the quality of the development schemes was not compromised and all deadlines were met.

The chief minister briefed Zardari about the province's development portfolio, foreign-aided development programmes and status of the Thar coal mining and power plant project.

“Timely completion [of the projects] will be of greater benefit to the people of the area,” Zardari told Shah.

Zardari said that the generation of coal-fired power was Benazir Bhutto's dream and appreciated the provincial government's progress in this area.

The two PPP leaders also discussed the programme for the commemoration of Benazir Bhutto's 10th death anniversary and other public gatherings the party plans to organise across Sindh and in other provinces.
