Accident that ignites tiff between political rivals

KASUR: The convoy of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan reportedly met with an accident involving vehicle of Ali Musa Gilani, the son of former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, near Jumber (Pattoki) on Sunday night.

Dawn.com quoted Gilani as saying that a vehicle banged into his car.

“I lodged a complaint with police which told me that the convoy was of Imran Khan returning from Okara,” Gilani said.

Meanwhile, the PTI alleged that Gilani’s guards had opened fire on a vehicle which was part of the convoy. The party issued a statement saying “Gilani, through his armed guards, orchestrated an attack on the convoy of Imran Khan.”

All individuals remained unharmed as the vehicle was bulletproof, the PTI said.

However, the son of former prime minister categorically denied the allegation and said,”How can I open fire on a convoy travelling with police protocol?”
