Two die in separate incidents

ISLAMABAD: Two persons were killed in separate incidents in capital, police stated here on Friday.

Some gunmen murdered Arsalan Arshad, 26, a native of Khushab at Khanna. The victim was the brother of a police official of capital.

Arsalan was standing near his house when two people came on a motorcycle and opened fire at him. As a result he received multiple bullet injuries and was shifted to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The attackers managed to escape.

The police have so far failed to ascertain the reason behind the killing.

But the circumstantial evidences suggested that it was a target killing, the police stated. In another incident a woman was killed after being hit by a speeding vehicle Jhangi Syedan Stop where she was walking.

Meanwhile, two culprits snatched cash and valuables from a man in I-9/1 Moreover, a Mehranof Nasir Mehmood was lifted from the parking area of Sunday Bazaar at H-9.
