Three shot dead for ‘honour’

TIMERGARA: Three people, including a woman, were killed in two different honor-related incidents in Jandol area of Lower Dir here on Wednesday, residents and police said.

They said that a youth identified as Abdul Wahab was found shot dead in the house of one Mohammad Sattar at Walo Obu village in the jurisdiction of Mayar police station.

The deceased’s father claimed that his son was killed by Sattar, Said Faqir and Riaz on suspicion of illicit relations with daughter of Sattar. Mayar police claimed to have arrested all the suspects.

In another such incident, one Pass Rehman and a girl were killed reportedly for ‘honour’ at Azizabad village in the jurisdiction of Samar Bagh police station. Police said that brother of the girl had suspicion of her having illicit relations with Pass Rehman. They said that the girl was shot dead in her house while the boy was gunned down outside his house on Wednesday. The police registered the case and have started investigation.
