Man penalised for selling aphrodisiacs

BAHAWALPUR: Drug Court Chairman Ibrahim Asghar on Thursday handed down six-year imprisonment along with fine to a medical store owner for allegedly selling aphrodisiacs.

A press release said Malik Farooq Ahmed of Khanpur was awarded six-year imprisonment along with a fine of Rs25,000 on charges of selling and keeping in stocks of aphrodisiacs.

Meanwhile, Additional District and Sessions Judge Jahangir Ali sentenced Muhammad Taimoor to two-year imprisonment with a fine of Rs5,000.

He had been arrested with 2.5 kilo poppy.
