Return filing date extended to Nov 30

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue on Wednesday extended the last date for filing of income tax returns/statements until Nov 30.

As per decision, salaried individuals, other individuals and AOPs can now file returns/statements within the due date. The FBR has already extended the last date four times.

Official Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Iqbal told Dawn that the last date was extended to facilitate people to file their returns. He said the FBR has received around 800,000 returns so far as against 550,000 returns received during the same period last year.
