GWADAR: The chairman of Buleda Municipal Committee and leader of the National Party (NP), Changez Buledi, was gunned down on Saturday, Levies officials said.

Mr Buledi was passing through the Menaz area when assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on him.

He was a close relative of NP information secretary Mir Jan Buledi and former provincial minister Zahoor Buledi.

Officials said the cause of the attack could not be determined immediately.
