Renal transplants at DUHS

KARACHI: The Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) on Saturday said its Dow Institute of Medical Education (DIME) had completed 25 cases of renal transplant over the past seven months and was preparing for launching bone marrow operations from next year.

The Vice Chancellor of DUHS, Dr Saeed Qureshi, congratulated the faculty and students of the institute on completion of 25 cases of renal transplant on the DUHS Ojha campus. Speaking as chief guest at an event organised by DIME, he said already 10 liver transplants had successfully been performed and bone marrow transplantations would be launched in the facility from next year.

Dr Rashid bin Hamid, Dr Sabahat, Dr Tassaduq Khan, Dr Rehan Nasir, Dr Shobha Lakshmi and others spoke.
