Four testify in Mashal case

HARIPUR: Anti-Terrorism Court recorded statements of four more witnesses in Mashal Khan murder case, taking the total number of those testifying in the case to 35.

Prosecution counsel Hafiz Kala Khan advocate said that during the eighth hearing of Mashal lynching case Gulshair, Alam Zaib, Sabaz Ali and Kausar recorded their statements before ATC Judge Fazle Subhan. The defence lawyers cross-examined them all while the court abandoned the evidence of three official witnesses identified as Ayub, Muneer and Saiful Islam. October 18 has been fixed as the next date of hearing.

Meanwhile, the district administration sealed three unregistered clinics during a crackdown on quacks.

Sources told this scribe that during the drive against unregistered healthcare practitioners, additional assistant commissioner Adil Ayub and drug inspector Mehtab Khan conducted raids and checked many health centres and found three clinics in violation of Health Care Commission Act 2017 and Drug Rules 1976. The clinics sealed include Saad Medical Clinic, Sagheer Medical Clinic and Mehboob Clinic.
