Pak-China joint air exercise 'Shaheen-VI' concludes

A Pak-China joint air exercise, titled 'Shaheen-VI', concluded at China's Korla Air Base on Wednesday, a press release issued by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) said.

Contingents from both sides participated with modern fighter jets and support elements in the Shaheen-VI exercise, which continued for three weeks, the PAF said.

During the exercise, Air Vice Marshal Haseeb Paracha flew a mission in a J-11 fighter aircraft belonging to China's People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF).

A PAF delegation witnessed the exercise on the last day and participated in the closing ceremony along with high-ranking Chinese officials.

Vice Marshal Paracha, air officer commanding and southern air command were the chief guests at the closing ceremony.

From the PLAAF, Lt Gen Zhan Shunhou, air commander of western theater command were also present at the occasion.
