Annoyed ‘N’ workers to protest in Lahore

PESHAWAR: The annoyed workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz from the provincial capital on Sunday rejected the allotment of party ticket to Nasir Musazai for the by-election on NA-4 here and announced to hold a protest demonstration in Lahore on Oct 7 against the decision.

Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, PML-N Peshawar district president Abdul Sattar Khalil said that workers had nominated Hikmat Khan as their candidate, but provincial president Amir Muqam had allotted ticket to Nasir Musazai, which was not acceptable to them.

He said that as per the party’s constitution the tickets were allotted by the parliamentary board, but in this case, no senior worker or office-bearer had been taken on board.

He said that the annoyed workers would announce next line of action at a press conference in Peshawar on Oct 5.

Besides, he said that a two-day protest camp would be set up outside the Peshawar Press Club from Oct 12 to apprise the party leadership about its deteriorating situation due to what he said irresponsible attitude of the PML-N provincial president.
