Stray dogs enter Parliament House premises

ISLAMABAD: Panic gripped the security staff after stray dogs entered the premises of the Parliament House on Tuesday.

A senior police official who requested anonymity confirmed that he had spotted some stray dogs in the lawn of the Parliament, close to the office of Special Branch and alerted the security staff.

However, he didn’t give the number of dogs but sources said they were more than six. Another batch of dogs was also spotted in the car parking designated for MNAs.

He said a team of “dog shooters” of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) took them away.

According to sources, a police official on duty at the assembly premises narrowly escaped dogs’ attack.

The security officials were unable to find out, how the stray dogs entered the heavily-guarded Parliament House premises.

“The dogs have been removed from the lawn and now there is nothing to worry about,” the senior police official said.
