Balochistan asks Sindh for transfer of property

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has approached Sindh for transfer of property worth billions of rupees owned by those accused in a mega-corruption scam, including Balochistan’s former secretary Mushtaq Raisani, National Accountability Bureau officials said on Monday.

Sources said NAB’s investigation officer Sheikh Mohammad contacted the revenue office in Karachi and the Defence Housing Authority to start the process of transferring the property to the Balochistan government.

Mr Raisani was arrested on the charge that he had bought property in Karachi worth billions of rupees. He later admitted to the charge and the property was confiscated by the NAB. The departments concerned have been directed to intensify the transfer process.
