He also directed advertising the development works and the proposed approach road to the town as a single project so that spadework on it could be initiated with immediate effect.

This he said while presiding over a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here, according to a statement issued on Saturday.

MPA Sardar Idrees, secretary local government, chief of Strategic Support Unit Sahibzada Saeed and other concerned officers were present.

The meeting was briefed about the rules of business of the authority, GDA town and progress with respect to the changes in the GDA Act. It was revealed that two amendments had been proposed to the act and that the revised draft of the rules of business was ready.

The chief minister said that absence of rules was a hurdle to development of Galiyat.

He ordered sending the revised draft of the rules to the law department for vetting and said that the summary of the proposed amendments should be sent to him forthwith.

He warned that no hurdles should be created in development of the area.
