Junior TT event gets underway

KARACHI: The medals race in the 24th National Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship commenced at the Majeed Khan indoor gymnasium of Islamia Club on Thursday with ping pong players from all over the country vying for honours.

Over 100 players belonging to the four provinces, Islamabad, Army, National Highway Authority (NHA) and Chromatex Chemicals are competing in junior under-18 boys and girls and cadet under-15 boys and girls events.

Junior boys and girls will vie for honours in singles, doubles and team event apiece while cadet boys and girls will compete in the singles and team events apiece.

Players representing four provinces, Islamabad, Army, National Highway Authority (NHA) and Chromatex Chemicals will feature in the competition.

Army and Sindh are defending champions in boys, girls under-18 team events. Similarly, National Highway Authority (NHA) and Chromatex Chemicals will defend their titles in boys, girls under-15.
