Revenue grew 70pc in last four years: Dar

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said on Saturday that overall revenue collection showed over 70 per cent growth during the last four years.

This momentum, he said, should be maintained with dedicated efforts in future as it would contribute significantly to the government’s resolve for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Addressing the Customs Chief Collectors and Director Generals Conference at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Dar called upon senior officials to double their efforts for meeting the collection target for this fiscal year.

He said that revenue collection grew from Rs1,946 billion in 2013 to Rs3.36 trillion in 2017.
