Four arrested for Rs450m corruption

QUETTA: Four employees of the revenue department were arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Balochistan, on Saturday for their alleged involvement in illegal land business resulting in a loss of Rs450 million to the exchequer.

Those taken into the custody were identified as Quetta Revenue Office Tehsildar Muhammad Jan, Patwari Mohammad Ilyas, Qanoongo Abdul Wahid and Syed Saleem Jan.

NAB is now likely to seek from a court of law remand of the suspects to widen the scope of the investigation.
