World Hepatitis Day

THE World Hepatitis Day is observed on July 28 to promote awareness of the disease that can sensitize the world leaders, doctors and researchers to strive to thwart it across the board from permeation.

Hepatitis is an epidemic disease that affects the liver of the people. This is one of the most contagious diseases in the world.

According to the report, “Almost eight million people in Pakistan live with Hepatitis C”. This is, verily, an exacerbating issue and must be dealt with efficaciously to prevent it from spreading further.

This disease is infectious and thus the needle once used should be immediately destroyed. Similarly, using blood of an infected person must be avoided.

A mother who has been long on dialysis gave birth to a patient of Hepatitis C.

The symptoms of Hepatitis C are stomach pain, jaundice, loss of appetite and nausea.

Therefore, the campaign programme must be initiated at the government level to slake off the aforementioned disease from being pervasive.

Also, lingering portion at every hospital must be set aside to deal with the disease of Hepatitis.

The government must allocate special funds for treatment of horrendous and humongous diseases like cancer, hepatitis and AIDS.
