NAB v Sindh govt

ON July 3, the Sindh government passed a resolution abolishing the NAB law in the province amidst uproar and outcry by opposition parties. Sindh Governor Zubair Ahmed did not give assent to it. Nevertheless, some aspects of the law — if the Sindh government seeks to repeal it — must be addressed:

By doing so, will not the Sindh government widen the gap between Sindh and the federation?

Is the repeal of the ordinance an exercise in provincial autonomy?

Will the proposed body by the Sindh government be autonomous or will it be under the jurisdiction of the chief minister? What will be the fate of the already pending cases of corruption in NAB courts?

It will rather be wise to reform the NAB law unanimously instead of repealing it.
